How to Read the Citing Subject Category Table
Cited Journal
The abbreviated title of the cited journal. Click the title to go to the full record (Journal page) of the journal.
The numbers in the All Journals row are sums of the numbers in their respective columns. ALL OTHERS refers to cited journals not listed by name in the table.
Cited journals are sorted in descending order, from most cited to least cited.
# Journals Cited
Number of journals cited by the subject category.
Cited Year: All Yrs
The total number of citations to the cited journal. This total includes the number shown under each year and the number in the Rest column.
Cited Year: Individual Years
Publication year of the cited articles.
The table above shows that in 2003, journals in the category Plant Sciences cited 964 articles published in Nature in 2000.
Cited Year: Rest
All publication years of cited articles prior to the ten-year period defined by the table.
For example, if the cited years are 2003-1994, the Rest column will show the number of citations from journals in the subject category in 2003 to articles published in 1993 and earlier in the cited journal.
